My father in law just got a old one the one that came with the motor that they made anybody know where I can get a magneto for it

Are you sure its not a kawasaki, kohler, or briggs? Most of the engines will have the brand of the mower on the engine shroud but in reality its one of the brands mentioned. If gravely did make their own engine at one time that will be a new one on me.

if its a bullhorn steer I'm 99.99% positive its a kohler and most likely a 6 or 8 horse should be a model number on the motor or on the machine somewhere.

This thing is old you have to wrap the rope around a pulley to crank it I know its the engine they made my grandfather used to have one like it

Some had Wisconsins, very early ones had Indian engines.

Its a L model motor I did some research on the web just wanted to see if anyone remembered them still have to find a magneto

That is a old gravely 2 wheel tractor and parts are becoming hard to find its been 5 year since I worked on one and parts were hard to find then. I would try the local gravely dealer and see if they have anything left.

I thought gravely made that engine I could be wrong. has a t head motor with a valve on each side of cylinder. The mags were made by fairbanks morse. I would google it and see what comes up. Most of the internals were the same on the mags as well as mounting flange, I just dont know about the gear though.

ANY GRAVELY DEALER SHOUD HAVE OR CAN GET THE MAG.THE ENGINE IS AN OLD STUDABAKER. YOU CAN STILL BUY MOST OF THE PARTS.THEY AINT CHEAP THOUGH.
