Now he's typing in PINK???  Must be the earthquake or hurricane that has him shook up.

We keep tham in stock and sell on average 6-10 each season.  So they definately will go bad.

IT LIVES!!!!!! Ordered the el cheapo points eliminator igniter for 16 bucks and it fired right up! The carb was a mess and I cleaned it now to resize the jetting in it a bit to get it to run a bit better with open exhaust and freer flowing air filter.

The ignition is messed up so I want to try a different coil first. How wild of a cam can the engine handle and who is the best to do the regrind? Need to send out a cam I purchased on ebay to a regrinder.

Tell him what you are building. His standard grind will take you right around 6500rpm with heavy duty valve springs and a Billet Flywheel for a Kawasaki FB460v. You will need porting and carb mods to accomplish anything more.

Lester make sure you look into the arc billet wheel too... nice pieces and I was pretty impressed the difference it made on a stock engine... the arc wheel will take the headache out of the kaw ignition since you swap over to a briggs coil... im in the process of balancing my crank now... im gonna be real happy to get that 15 lb block out of the bottom of this thing... and keep us informed on the isky cam if that's the route you choose to take... I have been considering myself...
There's somethin' in the works...

Once It is out of stock form it will have an ARC wheel. I'm just debating on whether to buy a complete wheel or the parts I need to convert my Briggs Wheel. I'll probably just sell my Briggs wheel and buy a new Kawi one. i think I'm going to give Tim Isky a chance to do this one. I'm gonna look for about 7500rpm sweet spot with a large flat power curve. I have some numbers in mind. I'm also going to try to balance the crank at around 58-59%. For now I'll have to trust the stock rod as there isn't a price worthy alternative. Not only that but I have good faith in stock parts IF they are prepared correctly. I put 2 seasons in on a V-Twin Intek with the new 49 cube stock rods twisting it as much as 7900. I also use stock single Vanny rods in my opposed Briggs spinning it up to 7000 at times and this was it's third season.

Lester, when you give Tim a call, it would not hurt to have your engine specs handy. Bore, stroke, rod length, maybe even port size shape and length. All this can help him get you what you need.
