sump gaskits issue on intek twin

any one run a intek twin backwards on a mower ?  sump gaskit broke in front of the oil filter area replace it and got  16 laps and sucked in again        i never had this problem last season    due to breather passing so much oil i put a pcv vent set up in the block after frist issue

I dont use a gasket anymore. The briggs gasket always blowed out for me. Just sand your oil pan where the cam gear goes against the oil pan make sure you have end play on the crank. I use hondabond,yamabond,the gray stuff and i also use studs in the block and double nut them.Sometime you to cut the cam where it goes into the block just be sure the cam has some clearence. No more problems!

Usually not very much every engine is a little different about .020 the thickness of the gasket.

How many races are on the motor?? It may be blowin too much by the rings and need a rebuild. I had the same problem last season. Rebuilt it and never had another issue.

I had the exact same issue on my freshly rebuilt Intek on my first few races. The last time it got fixed we did not put any sealer on the gasket and replaced the crank case vent check valve. Have not had a problem since.
