intek head work

i have a 20hp intek briggs. i was wondering if you could tell me how much would be a safe amount to shave off the heads? i was also wondering to what extent you do the porting? would appreciate any advice. thanks brian

I have one here I cut .050 off the heads, enlarged vavles using jr. Dragster stainless valves, you will have to mill some off the face of intake to get it to fit again and I do not remember how much I cut there, E.C. duals springs and retainers, and porting we did quite a bit on the intake to get it to match the size of the valve, exhaust really cleaned all the rough edges up good.
