RAGB
« on: January 26, 2011, 06:44:10 pm »
Does the verticle shaft in the peerless 1000 RAGB come out from the top of the gear box? I don't want to take it apart yet, but I would like to know. The exploded diagram seems to show that would be the case but I am not sure.

Thanks

I believe you just power it on side with mounting flange and can run it any direction that keeps the vent upright

if memory serves correct, there is a snap ring on the top of the bevel gear (like George said) which will be the easiest, but there is at least one underneath the bottom bearing, so if you cant get to the one on the bevel gear, removing the bottom one(s) should allow you to take it out the top.
