I had heard he had a heart attack but that's the last I heard don't know if he lived or died. Not a word since then I have the original prototype that I tested for him still works great. Thats all I know.

If anyone continues to work on this rev limiter, please let me know.  I would like to see a diagram and the all the components.  Better yet, if I can get my hands on 1, I may have someone that can build these.

I ended up with one of the originals without paperwork. One of my drivers was going to college for electrical engineering (since graduated) and was going to reverse engineer it. Now it's lost.

Personally..I don't see the need of...or the market for such a part. In my opinion it is just a complication for a simple reliable set up. Max rpm's are easily managed by your gear ratio. Just my opinion.

simple way for an auto tach to work on any engine with a pto shaft.

Parts needed are

any auto tach
3 wire proximity switch. There cheap off ebay
universal weld hub that fits your pto of your engine.
Machine the weld hub with 4 equal size flats with 1/2" long radius curve. It will look like a square with round corners.
Power and ground to the proxy switch. unused wire is tach input. Set the tach on 4 cylinder.
Set the proxy switch to pickup the corners of the weld hub. Good to go. You could use something other then a weld hub if needed. All the proxy switch needs to see is 4 pickup points.

Use an aluminum hub with 4 setscrews as your pickup point. Lighter.

Im a puller George. Light isn't an issue. But yes anything with 4 pickup points will work.

You could do all that to adapt an Automotive tach or just buy one from Orielly Auto parts that will hook up. It'll hook to the kill wire on the coil or the plug wire. I think I gave around 80 dollars for mine. It has a light in it and hasn't given me any trouble so far. If ya'll are interested I'll get you the part number and brand.
