Other Interesting Builds!
« on: November 01, 2006, 12:21:31 am »
Recognizing there are several worthy builds around the forum that just don't neccesarily fit the criteria of the Racing Mower Build board, we have implemented the Other Interesting Build board to allow you mechanical geniuses that build goodies other than racing mowers a home for your builds also.

 :woohoo:

What should be here?

If it starts as a lawn mower and you're building a project with it, this is the place for it! As is the case in the Racing Mower Build thread, we want step by step details and photos posted here to keep your thread in the Other Interesting Build board. If it stagnates after a post or a picture or two, it will be moved to a more appropriate home.

Projects that instigated this thread and should probably be used as a guideline... Ty and others Monster Mowers, jeffescortlx's power wheels conversion, etc.

Again what we don't want to see is 2 - 3 pictures of you putting ATV tires on your backyard mud-mowchine. If you're going to the trouble to reinforce the frame, lower the chassis, build the engine and everything else, willing to do a step by step build thread, then sure go for it. But changing tires, swapping motors, changing pulleys, and/or removing the governor simply doesn't constitute a build guys! A build requires you to build something, not just swap something.

Too add to this, all All Terrain/Off-Road/Off-Lawn/Off-Track/Cross Country mower builds have their own section on the forum, please place them there.

And as Rocky previously stated:

If you're going to the trouble to reinforce the frame, put in a lift, build the engine and everything else, willing to do a step by step build thread, then sure go for it.
