From the muffler? A tail pipe? If you are talking about a header for a race mower, use the exhaust gasket, mark a peice of 1/8" steel, drill the holes and weld a pipe to it. Sometimes the muffler has some nice bends on it you can use. The hardware stores sell 1" counduit (steel) that works well, motorcycles have nice adaptable pipes also. Lots of posts here on the length and how to find where to cut the pipe off.

I used that motor at first. With a little polishing on the head, an exhaust pipe and an air filter it flippin' screamed. However it will be a short lived motor, the connecting rod WILL find it's way out of the block, the syncro balancer will split in half and find it's way out of the block as well. Unfortuantely no one seems to make after market parts for that motor. The head on it is unbeleivable though. If I could put that head on my Briggs .28 it would be the stuff. As far as exhaust, I made an 1-1/4" pipe that bolted to the factory "header". I ran that for about 14" and then increased to 1-1/2 for about 14 inches. Great sound and it worked very well for me. I may one day do a liltle more research on this motor simply because of the head design, maybe a frankenstein version could be made to last a little longer. By the way I turned that motor around 5500 rpm tops. I would say the chances of it living in a stocker are far better.

Never delt with the Robertson place, but the mower that I bought has one of their exhausts on it. Very nice piece.
