OHV Engine Sizes?

What are the various cubic inch sizes of Briggs single cylinder OHV engines?

OHV sinle cylinders 16hp and down are usally 28 cubic in.
OHV single cylinders 16.5 hp and up are usally 31 cubic in.
first 2 letters of model number will tell you..

15 and down are 28 cubes and 16 and up are 31's

I have a 16 Vanguard single that is a 28...Maybe just the vanguard singles I dunno...15.5 is 28 too..I dunno Maybe I have weird motors...Briggs stamps them with anything they need at the time though..

Thanks Guys! That will help me out when I'm out and scouting for future ideas. However, I'll haul anything if it's FREE!!

I just won an ebay auction today for a pair of 6" roller bearing front wheels for 16 bucks. Everything around here have been the bushing variety.

Only the true Vanguard is like that and they are few and far between and the fact nothing is interchangeable between anything else they are not as desireable to fool with. So when giving info I do not even refer to those.
