Topic: 13" tire

I have a 3/4" golf cart spindle set up with 4 on 4 hubs and a 1" axle on a peerless 820 (no hubs yet) what would be the best (cost effective) route (tire wheel spindle) to get 13's all the way around?

is there a setup that would allow me to keep the 4on4 hubs?

By the way its a mtd yard machine with a 13 hp brigs mod 28 flat or 14 OHV havent decided which way to go there either.

i have heard on this site that the golf cart spindles will not take the abuse, to get 13'' tires you gonna have to run either 5 or 6'' rims, none available that i know of that use the 4x4 bolt pattern, they do make a 3 bolt hub for a 1'' transaxle, and wheels are commonly available on ebay super cheap!

Thanks jerb. I'm getting ready to cut my chassis and mount my trans and the way I have it drawn off 13's will have me 4 and 1/4 off the ground. I've heard the same about those spindles but I already had a pair and know some guys that run them strong and figured I would give them a shot.

has any body been able to get on the ground with 8 inch rims? whats the shortest tire thats easy to find for an 8? 16's?

yes, a 4'' ground height is achievable with the 8'' rear rims, check out the build threads, thats what most use in the prepared classes! 8x8 rim with a 16x7.50-8 rear tire!
