AP/Mini Twist Clutch??????
« on: April 29, 2009, 11:20:57 pm »
OK. I am building a Mini. I have an EC twist clutch i would like to put on it, but i just cant seem to find enough room to fit it in. I have searched the build section and cant find many pics of an AP with a twist clutch. I have slid the engine as far forward as i can. I even turned it backwards. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get it in there? Anyone have any pics of their mini with a twist clutch? Mine is an old craftsman chassis. It is about the size of an huffy. 37 in wheelbase

I never had room for that style clutch on mine. I had to use a single pulley clutch, and I never had any problems with it.

idk if this helps but this is a "twist" clutch that i made. mower has a 38" wheel base. 53" belt, pulleys are about 20" on center. the wheels are grooved skateboard wheels (ive since upgraded to machined nylon pulleys).
