Mower Building / Setup Help / Driveline / V- belts

Guys, just food for thought! Most are running 1/2" belts either mower belt or A section belts. The next size up is the B section belt .66 instead of the .50 and the depth is greater also. The HP difference in these two belts are quite a bit, why not instead of throwing your old pulleys away cut them to accept the B section belt. You can go to Gates belts or just google V belts and theres all kind of info on Hp and RPMs. Would love to hear some opinions on this. (I do know it will work)

Race and Event Announcements / Non-Affiliated Races / New track in N.C.

We just got back from the test and tune at Waynes new track in Whiteville N.C and some of the best barbeque I've had in a long time. Thanks for the food and the fellowship, it was great. The extra water for the modifieds did the trick. You have a very nice track and hope to race with you some this season. I just hate Sam had to miss it. I know Rex and Rex Jr. had a good time. Thanks again Wayne.

Engine Help / Briggs OHV & Vanguard / 44CID Intek

George, Don, Just took a 44CID Intek apart and the pistons were cupped downward like a 35 or 38.5 Vanguard. Does Briggs make a flat top or domed piston for these? Also cut heads to around .0080 is that enough considering the heads are open chambered and not closed?

Engine Help / Briggs OHV & Vanguard / 40 CID Intek

What if anything can be done to lighten the bottom end of a 40CID Intek? Just from my limited experience with them they are sluggish off of the corners and on restarts compared to the Vanguard v-twins. I have built several Inteks but no Vanny's. Also my brother Rex is kicking our butts with his Vanny.
