1  General / Coffee Shop / FUEL INJECTION on: April 28, 2015, 06:37:05 PM
Has anyone else seen all the fuel injection engines. I was wondering how well does it work. Is that the "NEW THING" coming to our sport. I believe it could be good. It could solve a lot of problems if it's sorted out. I am a auto mechanic and it has done wonders for the auto industry and for racers. Does the small engine manufacturers have a small ecm to go along with it? Do you plug a scanner into it? That would be great if you could because then it could be programmed. Any thoughts?

5  General / Coffee Shop / BP's on: December 02, 2014, 06:49:37 PM
Stay with me now. Sometimes I have to much time to think. I drive back and forth to work an hour each way. Sense the BP class is kind of dying off why couldn't you make a FXT chassis and use a BP engine. The engine would not be as open ruled as the FXT class and the chassis would be a lot safer at speed. A natural transition from the prepared style class to the FX style classes. The tires could also be the factor of speed, using lawnmower tires rather than Hoosiers or kart style racing tires. My thinking is you already have money in a engine and tires axle and brakes with all the things that go with running a good horsepower machine. It would be safer and cost less than a FXT, no dual carbs or racing clutches a lot of dyno time. Any thoughts?

9  Engine Help / Other Engines / flathead coil on: July 22, 2014, 07:54:23 PM
I am attempting to put a ARC wheel on a kawi 460 flathead and realize about the coil. I got the wheel used and only the wheel. does anyone see a problem on redrilling a briggs coil to fit, or am I asking for trouble. I have a mill so straight is not a problem. Any thoughts?  [go ahead and say it ED]
10  Engine Help / Briggs OHV & Vanguard / V-TWIN FLYWHEEL on: July 02, 2014, 12:42:47 PM
I was looking at the ARC site and saw the Intek V-Twin flywheel is #6611. My question is , can you change the hub and ring gear and use a single #6611 billet wheel?

13  General / Coffee Shop / New phone ? on: March 18, 2014, 08:51:24 PM
I need input. I am looking to join the 21st century with a better phone. I am looking at the LG optimus g pro. My carrier is AT&t, people are telling me all sorts of things. They say the apple is better than the android. But others are saying they liked the android. Opinions please, I am trying not to make the 18 month mistake. Just to make you all laugh my current phone is a tiny slide phone, the pics are the size of a large matchbook. Tell me what you think I can take it!! LOL
14  General / Coffee Shop / IGNITION TIMING on: March 11, 2014, 05:42:02 PM
HAS ANYONE TRIED TO MAKE TIMING ADJUSTABLE. WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT IS MAKING THE COIL ADJUSTABLE WITH A CABLE. THESE ENGINES  LIKE TIMING BUT DON'T START WELL ADVANCED. MY THOUGHT IS TO MAKE THE COIL MOVABLE, SAY WITH A SOLID THROTTLE CABLE. MOVE THE COIL TO A PREDETERMINED START POSITION THEN PUSH THE LEVER TO MOVE THE COIL TO A PREDETERMINED RACE POSITION. WE ARE ALLOWED TO RUN MODIFIED IGNITION SYSTEMS. THIS COULD PREVENT STARTER BREAKAGE AND MAYBE MAKE ADJUSTMENTS EASIER.
15  Race and Event Announcements / Non-Affiliated Races / Birch Run Expo center on: December 02, 2013, 05:29:58 PM
Who's going and where do I find more info? I figure I would bring it up early [it's Dec 21]. My racer is made for Dirt Devil rules and doesn't really meet US rules to well. [yes safety rules are the same]. Thanks!
