1  Engine Help / Briggs Flathead / Re: oppy deck height on: August 28, 2015, 01:32:57 PM
THE 25, AND 28 HAVE DIFFERENT HEIGHT'S. THE OPPYS USE DIFFERENT LENGTH RODS TO TAKE UP STROKE DIFFERENCES. THE DECKS ARE ALL THE SAME HEIGHTS.
2  Engine Help / Briggs Flathead / Re: OPPY TIMING QUESTION on: August 28, 2015, 01:29:41 PM
OPPYS HAVE THE SPARK PLUG IN A STRANGE SPOT.THEY COME IN AT A FUNNY ANGLE ON THE END OF THE HEAD ON THE VALVE SIDE. YOU WILL NEED TO PULL THE HEAD TO FIND T.D.C. THAT TRICK WILL WORK ON SINGLES!

7  Engine Help / Briggs Flathead / Re: OPPY TIMING QUESTION on: August 27, 2015, 09:00:06 AM
IS IT GEARING THAT IS KEEPING YOU FROM TURNING MORE RPM? YOU REALLY ARE UNDER THE MEAT OF THE POWER BAND.

YES THERE ARE OTHER PISTONS. CONTACT E.C. CARB OR LOOK ON THEIR SITE FOR A FORGED PISTON. IF YOU CAN'T FIND IT CALL THEM, THEY ARE GREAT AND HELPFUL TO DEAL WITH!
12  Engine Help / Briggs Flathead / Re: Piston exploded on: August 16, 2015, 08:18:59 PM
LOTS OF US HAVE, DOES IT HAVE THE LONG ROD AND A MILLED TOP? WHAT RPM ARE YOU TURNING? THE PISTON IS THE WEAK LINK. REMEMBER THIS PARTS ARE ONLY MENT FOR 3600 rpm. BLOWING THIS UP, WELL IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN SOONER OR LATER (SOMETIMES QUICKER THAN WE WANT) IT STILL SUCKS!
