We did not get to watch the pool scene shoot. But we did get to see all the female actors in costume. It was a cool day in South San Francisco. The whole day was fun, but very long. The shoot was on a Sunday, which was a bummer. Only good thing about that is you get paid twice as much. Oh ya and all you can eat all day long.

6  General / Coffee Shop / Commercial Rates on: March 15, 2013, 09:54:38 PM
I got a call from a Production co. They want to rent mowers for a commercial. Has anyone done this and if so how much did you charge/get paid. They offered to put me up in a hotel because of the distance. Any input would be great. He also wouldn't tell what the commercial was about.

I have one and use it for all my mower stuff. Have had great success with it. Its fun to see the improvement in the mower at speed.
8  Mower Building / Setup Help / Driveline / Re: Peerless 700 Transmission Gears: Part Numbers & Ratios on: July 13, 2012, 10:12:08 PM
How do I find out if they are fine splined or not?
9  Mower Building / Setup Help / Driveline / Re: Peerless 700 Transmission Gears: Part Numbers & Ratios on: July 11, 2012, 05:37:24 PM
How can I find out the difference between the different transmissions? For instance, does a700-070a have steel gears? Fine spline output shafts? How many shift keys? Or a 700-079, 700-083?
  Thanks, Kevin

12  Engine Help / Briggs OHV & Vanguard / Vanguard Throttle hook-up on: May 04, 2012, 09:00:54 AM
I just put 38" heads on a 35" vanguard. I am having trouble hooking up the throttle linkage on the 2bbl carb. If someone could post some pictures of what they did, it would be a big help.

When putting 38" heads on a 35" engine, which head gaskets do you use? And are there other things that I need?
                     Thanks, Kevin
14  Engine Help / Briggs OHV & Vanguard / Re: ARC Flywheel on: April 13, 2012, 10:56:43 PM
I put a nutdriver against the magnet. Didn't stick at all. Went to private reserve and got a new intek wheel, and had to pry nutdriver off that one.
So the boy and I changed the ring gear and hub and it's running. Still makes me mad thou.

15  Engine Help / Briggs OHV & Vanguard / ARC Flywheel on: April 13, 2012, 08:44:40 PM
I was trying to fire the boys mower when In realized there was no spark. So I changed the coil to no avail. Still no spark. I got a phone call, and while Talking I found the magnets in the ARC flywheel are bad. Any one else have this Problem? It ran the last race of the year OK.
It kind of irritates me off that you pay for good parts that don't last. So now the circus begins to get new magnets and take it all back apart to fix it.
