7  General / Coffee Shop / Re: Rocket Rons on: May 16, 2014, 10:59:08 AM
When the check was cashed a month ago, and you can't get in touch with him- that's not expecting something overnight

Was not defending anyone or trying to justify anything! Just saying.......... WOW people are so defensive. LOL

Ron runs a mower / small engine business, I'm sure he's swamped right now. His parts are quality and he's a very nice guy. The only issue I ever had was being able to get in touch, once you do it's all good but don't expect anything overnight.

You do realize if any hardware crosses the Mississippi River to Illionios from this race we're just gonna come over there on August 16th & 17th and take it away from you in front of your home town fans don't you?

Looking forward to it, should be a good time (both weekends!)

OK, more rain so we're canceled the April race. Back to the regular schedule; 4th Sunday of each month with June being our National Point races on the 28th & 29th.

12  General / Coffee Shop / Re: foot throttle on: May 02, 2014, 09:37:31 AM
Ran my first mower with the foot a couple of weeks ago and loved it. Ran finger for 6 years prior and had no issues there either so what ever works for you. The foot was on an FXT so my body was much more stable, might be the deal, on a prepared chassis yes you will do a lot more leaning and body adjusting.

Talk to the guys there, they may have a local stock class you could fit in.
15  General / Coffee Shop / Re: Spec Class on: March 19, 2014, 01:30:48 PM
I think the guys asking me were more thinking about the people who donít have the ability, time or desire to build a mower from scratch but really like what they see. More like most other motor sports where everything is basically bolt on, very little fabrication compared to what we do in the majority of our classes.  Not so much for cost but maybe more convenience.  If a guy shows up at a mini sprint race and gets excited about getting involved he can without owning a shop full of fabrication tools. No one was suggesting we do away with our heritage and current classes just something a little different for someone who has the desire to drive but not necessarily building something from the ground up.
