Just wanted to stop in and say that I'm back. Have a lot of friends I have raced with in the past and haven't seen or talked to any of them since I quit. Hoping to be back on the track at the start of the season.
I got this on here later than I wanted but I'm asking for prayers for a fellow racer. His name is Jason Murray ( I believe Murrdawg on here). He is the president of the ARLMRA and crashed in Batesville, Ar this past Saturday. He suffered a broken hip and pelvis. They had to take him to Little Rock where they done surgery yesterday placing rods in. He is now doing some physical therapy. Jason has ran several national races this year so I'm sure a lot of you have met him. I'm afraid this injury will put a stop to his racing career though. So I'm asking you say a prayer forbhim and his family as he gets through this. Thank you.
Hey guys, I'm wanting to do some more traveling but with a baby almost here I'm not going to be able run national races. I know there is a group in north west Arkansas. I would like to get ahold of them and maybe drop in at one of there races and the LSMRA group also. And if someone knows of another race let me know. This includes ARMA also. Thanks, Tony
ARLMRA test and tune will be held on April 1st at 2pm. It will take place at Boydsville, Ar. Admission is free to all spectators and we will have concession. Boydsville is one of those high speed banked clay tracks that a lot of people like. Bring your mower or your lawnchairs and have some fun.
On February 25th a friend of mine was in an automobile accident with two other people. They were all airlifted out to the med in Memphis. One has a broken neck and the other has a broken neck, breast plate, and back. They are doing well but my friend was not so fortunate. We thought he was getting better but he passed away this morning at the age of 20 yrs old. He will be missed greatly. I'm asking that you pray for the friends and family as they are having a rough time. Thank you!
We bought this the other day and plan on building it this winter for an a/p. Not sure of a year model but know it's a longlife believe made by mtd. Going to start stripping it down for sandblasting soon.
Who all is planning on coming? The L & M team is planning on being there and heard of a couple more people thinking about it. Scott (skeeter) is needing to kind of get an estimate of how many is going to be there. Plus I'm curious to see how many new faces are going to be there.
We will be racing at the Boydsville track under the lights on July 10th. All are welcome to come and race. As long as your mower is safe then it doesn't matter who you run with. Most mowers there will me USLMRA/ARMA legal so we will be going by their classes but could make other classes if there are enough mowers. Boydsville is in the Northeast corner of Arkansas. About 50 miles north of Jonesboro. PM me and let me know which way you will be coming from and I can give directions. I am not positive on the time yet so I will find out tomorrow and post it on here. Thanks
Well we spent all afternoon working on the Boydsville track trying to get it ready for the first race of the season. It looks really good and is really smooth. I thought I would post some pictures to show some of you that have never raced here what it looks like. It is really wide and really fast.
I have a 501 peerless that I can't get to stay in gear. I was running it on my bp but had to switch to avoid getting run over. If anyone has any ideas about how to prevent this I would appreciate it. Thanks.
