I jknow you said Honda, but my experience with a 8 hp flathead is if you change the cam, it wont work. I must have broken 5 or 6 pull starts before I gave up. But legally you can, if you install a compression release it might work. And by the way, my flatties have very low compression to begin with, the cam profile changes it.

I turn my flathead 8 hp's up to 8800 rpm when needed.

All right the call is going out to the Mini's and Ap's, I'm going to try my best to be there racing this year, I have done the All American twice, but only as a track official, this time I want to race. I will still help George anyway he wants. So with that being said, lets get the small engines together and see what shakes down, I guess it will be the flaties againist the OHV's, but in the end it will be for fun and good times! Lets play!

I have raced againist one 5hp that was built by a "Go Kart Shop" it was a horizental and had to be started with an external motor. It should have been in FX, but we let it run in Mini. He tried all summer to run with us, he was not successful.

On the other hand the rear engined mower Hitch had ran extremely well.

I cannot make a stock key work with the ARC Flywheel, I make mine out of mild steel key stock, file to fit.

I run my breather into a vac fuel pump and discharge to the ground from a settling tank.

I have a one and a half (two bedroom 1st year, 1 bedroom 2nd year) time share at "Kings Creek Plantation" in Williamsburg Va. I used it for vacation trading purposes, it will trade with the Ritz Carloton in NY. I would put it into the RCI program and they always upgraded the two bedroom to a three and the one to a two. Since it is only me at home now, I have no futher use for it. I paid $12K for it 10 years ago, if you pay the $500. deed transfer fee it can be yours. Maintenance fees are $352. a year. Also the lobes on a OHV are increased by the 1.5 multipcation of the rocker, so put a lifter from the flathead on it and you would get less lift and duration
