Another option is to reinforce the bolts in the external hole in the head. I drilled a piece of flat steel that just fit into the hole. Hold it tight and run a tap down through it installed in the head. Use long bolts with red loctite.
I ran my FX engine 7500-7800 all the time with the EC dual springs. Never had an issue.
Curious, I am seeing this more and more and wondering what advantages it has? I'm building a 33 AVS now for the GP but may upgrade to CP, would it help to mount it backwards? Just wondering why it's getting so popular lol
I have a 33ci AVS and I was gonna put an oil pressure gauge on it but it has no port to install a fitting. Will it read accurate pressure if I tap into the housing? I don't think it will but wanted to get a 2nd opinion. I took a few pics, the one pic I'm pointing to a good spot to drill and tap but it is in the housing and not the passage to the lower journal. I may be able to tap into that but it will be tricky
