I have an idea I want to add as well. I do miss a certain boat anchor club.

Briggs Flathead / Re: Opposed fuel pump
« on: September 04, 2019, 06:43:30 PM »
Thanks Al, I've read how to do it. My built in pump works, just wondering if there was an advantage to separate them, other than just that. Thanks

The advantage is that someone may have a regular fuel pump in the pits if they are separate.
Not so much on someone having an Oppy pump in a pinch.

If the frame twists right, it can pop any of them.

« on: May 31, 2019, 05:37:08 PM »
Does anyone know what stock timing is on a 23hp vanguard, and when setting the timing using arc adjustable flywheel the timing marks are supposed to to line up using a timing light on the btc side correct?

Somewhere there is a thread on setting timing.

There is a Craftsman build in there too.

If you are just assembling a stock motor, then buy the new rods and install them.

First step is build it to the rules of your sanctioning club.
Safety being the main goal. Brakes first.

It is a metric pattern, I had a link on my old computer
for the fastener sizes. After lunch I will see if I can find
something out.
