Coffee Shop / Power feed question
« on: January 04, 2013, 02:31:11 am »
This is probably a long shot but I have an old Well-Setting Bridgeport power feed P/N: HCW 135G. It is nearly impossible to find parts in my neck of the woods or on the internet for that matter and was wondering if anybody has or knows where I might be able to get parts? I need the main plastic gear on the bottom of the unit, I think it is P/N HCW 135-7. Its a very good unit, but my neighbor crashed the table and stripped the gear. Id much rather spend a few dollars on a new gear than a few hundred on a new one. I'll try and get a picture tomorrow of it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Post your Pics! / Mach 40

The car my brother and his shop have been working on for the past 3 years finally debuted at SEMA last week. It won "best hot rod" and "best in show" at the Gran Turismo awards and will be featured in the next Gran Turismo video game. It's a cross between a 1969 Mustang Mach 1 and a 2006 Ford GT. It looks even better in person.

I have an early 90's Signature 2000 that i got partially disassembled. I have the deck installed but its not quite right and the owners manual isn't much help. If anyone has pictures or would be willing to describe how to reinstall the deck it would be greatly appreciated.

Coffee Shop / daily driver question
« on: October 24, 2011, 05:16:19 pm »
I have a 2.9L 5-speed, 4x4, '87 Ranger. I have been having issues with my headlights flickering and traced the problem to the top pigtail connecter on the turn signal/high beam module. I had the module in and out and apart a few times along with taking the top and bottom connecters off.

I tried putting dielectric grease in to see if it would help but got nothing, so I ended up replacing the connector. Somewhere along the line I caused a short or something because before I changed the connecter my battery was dead. I charged it and noticed my dome light wasn't shutting off. I removed it, charged it again and let it sit, and now its dead again. I didnt change anything other than that connecter, but Im assuming I jarred or shorted something while messing around. Any one have any ideas of what it might be? I haven't had the time to put a test light on any wires yet.

Driveline / Cent clutch issues
« on: July 27, 2011, 07:35:48 pm »
Im running a Noram Star and have noticed that I can hear the shoes tap the drum at an idle, it also seems to have what Ill call chatter when trying to engage, its pretty rough, especially after a race getting off the track at low speeds. Im running the stock springs (red I think) which are the lowest rpm ones. Im pretty sure the springs overheated a few times and have been compromised, just wanted to get some other opinions.

Coffee Shop / broken bolt removal
« on: May 26, 2011, 06:47:58 pm »
The passenger side manifold on my 87 ford ranger broke yesterday, and while trying to remove it, a bolt broke off in the block, anyone have any good tips on how to get it out short of pulling the motor out? i dont know if its possible without pulling the motor tho, its in a pretty tight place and i dont really think i can get a drill in there.
