Briggs Flathead / flat head cam question
« on: June 21, 2014, 03:21:08 pm »
I was just wondering if I could run a 12 horse cam in my 8 horse briggs? Would this potentially help the motor performance wise or what. I know swapping heads and cams from small block chevys you can gain some power depending on the cam heads and stroke. So would changing some internal parts out of a bigger briggs flat head into my 8 horse help. Sorry for the long post. LMKWYT

Driveline / fresh built 700 peerless
« on: June 14, 2014, 08:48:47 pm »
Ok so I just finished building my 708-b peerless tranny, I installed a new input shaft and replaced the old grease with new high temp wheel bearing grease. Now im not to familiar with these trannys but when I put it in gear it appears to kinda jump or try to nudge forward its not bad but it does it and also when I rev my motor and let out on the clutch it sounds like its whining almost like a turbo sounds spooling up but anyways all I was wondering is if this is all normal any help or tips on this will be helpful ive looked throught all the forum but haven't found anything like what im experiencing. sorry for the long story, Jesse
