i have a bar similar to that in the rear of my mxr....i use it to put just a small amout of twist in the rear of the tunnel......works for me...may not for others...

6" on motor and 4" on trans is the norm....that 8" you have may be too much pulley....

yup,have had this happen a few times on some 8hp briggs motors. just mark where it hits the block and then grind the block alittle at a time. never grind the flywheel!!

get the one with the cast alum. valve cover. it is the newest design and has a hemi head. best bang for the buck!! they are all great motors for the price!!

 if you are building to the PA MINI PROS rules you need to stay with the 196cc clone, or a handa gx200. as for the best.......they are all about the same. most of the time you are replacing the stock parts anyway. if you are just starting into the mini pro class build,i would go with a bsp,or a ducar. these come with out the goveners and low oil junk to start with. there are also a ton of karting companys out there that can build a killer motor for you!

use the arc non adjustable billet flywheel,it is made to use the stack starter cup and pull start. plus its only $100 bucks!! I have them on both of my mini pros and it is what is in our rule book to use! :woo:

burris. get the one with just the fingers to mount sproket to. it was the only one i found to work with a sproket that small.

you get the rpm by using the o.e.m. throdle bracket with the stock govner spring and bend the tab the spring attaches to on  the throdle cable side of the assembly. :woo:
