George, what is a transmatic?
George,
Looks good, like the wedge idea! But concerned with the bolt for making the adjustment. I don't think that bolt will take the abuse.
Heres an idea. Make a cam for the wedge to hold the wedge in place and make a positive locking handle. Like a shifter type. Move the handle that goes into a slot and can't come out unless you unload the wedge and pull the handle over.
I assume you are planning on adjusting it on the fly is why you are using a bolt.
Just a thought!

Am i missing something? I have read this over and over and dont see anything about a bolt contraption? what are yall talking about?

I have realized I will not have room for a mechanical belt clutch. SO I have a EC billet clutch and can't use it and need a Star centrifugal clutch. SO now I gotta come up with the funds for a centrifugal clutch. Still planning on using a 700. Least wise thats the game plan for now.How much room do you have between crankshaft and 700 input shaft? Only reason I ask is, You know I run a relatively small chassis which I utilize RAGB with a mechanical clutch. If you could switch to a RAGB,then you can down size on your front pulley which should allow you enough room to run your mechanical clutch.

Ty a RAGB would do the trick BUT I don't have one either I have two actually but even between the two I don't have enough for one good one.Let see what I can come up with for ya.
I eat grits and like'em.:puke: nasty
:puke: nastySorry, I have to agree.
You guys are crazy!
A good ole bowl of Hot creamy GRITS with butter, salt and pepper.
Thats a meal by itself!
Lol I missed that,thanks George!
Don't foregt the eggs....over easy of course
Hey George. Great Job on that mower. Maybe this next summer we will see you back up here in Wisconsin so that we can see how wicked fast t is even if you dont race it.
Lookin good, George! Dang, I didn't know they made kart seats that BIG!!! :lmfao: I like the way the chute for the mower deck makes a place to hook your heel into. I don't suppose your gonna have it ready for the finals next weekend?
Lookin Sweet George! Are you gonna have to hang a ballast weight on the rear to get a bite like Ryan or is your built into the design. :P

Well we rode it today put prolly 30 laps on it Jake got to ride first. And I went second. Shaft from ragb moved a bit worked on that!! Ratio was good but belt was slipping. Went and bought a 4" the 3.5 wasn't gonna get it on the motor. So we re did that. Had an exhaust leak and found a flange hole had broke out so have to change heads in the morning. Even with the belt slipping though keeping the front on the ground off the corners was a job. And this was on grass. But for a first day it was good even with all the lil issue's. But was a good first test.
Jake is in love he likes how it gets sideways. He would make a hail of a sprint car driver he loves the sideways stuff. Says he likes slick tracks it an advantage for him... LOL
thanks, looking forward to seeing it next week in TN,Heyyyyy, don't rush me, we got 2 weeks!
How did you flair your fenders like thatI don't think he did, that style of fender was made like that.
With 154 mowers as a race promoter I had no time to race. I had to ensure the event ran as smoothly as possible
Thats what I am talking about. I will say this they are the most fun I have ever had on a mower. Hands down no if ands or buts. You can't turn one over, mine lost the right rear at top speed and just spun out. It don't get much safer than that. Just think had a regular chassis lost the right rear at that speed what would have happened.

I would think the center of gravity is all ready lower on a vertical shaft motor, versus a horizontal shaft motor. So raising the vert. motor 3/4" it would still probably have a lower C/G than a horizontal? The one thing I was wondering is how much power do you loose going through a 90 degree box? Is it worth going out and buying a horizontal shaft motor if you already have a vertical shaft motor?
I love how i guess your dog, just lays therre while you go ripping around right in front of it.
Can't wait to see that thing on the Syrup!
Of course that was George, Jacob don't spin out!

or is their another factor I am missing :bash:
Get the bugs out I got a 6200RPM flatty like you ain't never seen thats bout ready,44mm carb,my stroker crank, crank trigger ignition & reversed port.Makes a little over 16hp. :alcoholic:
Cant tell ya all my tricks.
Coulda stayed on the throttle a bit more :P
What kind of helmet cam did you get?
Great ride George looked like it handled well.
George that video turned out pretty good.
So would I be correct in that the camera stores the video to an SD card, then from there all you need to do is download it to a computer?
I have been thinking of getting one for a while now just to mess with, problem is I dont know if it will hold up to seeing Bert's ugly mug once a lap without breaking the lens.
two spots were pretty rough. The worst I finally found a smooth way around it and bout spun out up in the marbles. its fixed already. 5 minutes tonight and it was ready to go again.
NOPE Will PM you. Fixed it in 3 minutes. 5 Most.rocker stud???

Mine turns down between my shoulder blades, (race wear I think) Can't remember got it at APS Karting. Won't use any other. Never even had a sore neck and have had some serious head landings and had the ole head hit a time or two directly while on the ground.
APS 2xx renegade sprint seat I believe it is.
getting ready to build one of the super mods for next year. problem is that all of the ragb i can find are left drive. can i use one offset to in front of r.r. tire with proper bracing and fab work to drive in the same area as right drive units?Drive line is open if you can make it work that way go for it.
For the guys that aren't using centrifugal clutches, in our club you would make a lock for the clutch pedal to hold it down so you can push the machine around like it was in neutral.
