Rest in peace, George. You are gonna be missed by so many people out there in this old world. You have made friends all over and touched many people through the years. Folks, please keep the Herrin family in your prayers in the days to come. No one is prepared for times like these and only prayers can help ease the pain. Godspeed Superman.

Chassis / Re: Front brakes

I have used both. mcp has better stopping power but have to use 2 1/2" backspace on wheels. Hegar can use more back space on wheels and easier to install. either will do what you need in most cases.

if you get the bias from EC, the master cylinders mount side by side and it works very good. I have mine mounted on running board.

Stay around 6000 and should be good. We broke a crank at idle, but it had been turned hard a lot.

I have run  Precision cheetah for last 4 years in BP and was really happy with it, just put dual springs on this year and really made a difference. Put the EC Billet in new supermod motor and love it. Will see how it runs with those vannys & kohlers next weekend.

Why are you wanting to add all this unnecessary parts & pieces? Mounting the engine forward facing & centrifugal clutch, then chain to jackshaft, chain from jackshaft to rear axle. Nice and simple and not a lot of failure points.

They have been so busy that you have to order online or leave a message. They normally call back fairly quick.

The factory rod will work. How long? Do you want to take a chance a ruining a block, cam and crank to save some dough?

Driveline / Re: 1" Rear Axle Pros/Cons
« on: August 31, 2015, 02:24:48 pm »
Most everyone is going to say go with 1 1/4" axle. I have run the 1" in a BP for 4 seasons with no issues. Many have bent them. I have also bent 1 1/4" axle in my supermod. I wouldn't change unless I tore something up bad. If you needed parts at a race, most will have extra parts for 1 1/4".

Driveline / Re: need info on running a centrifugal clutch

You can run either. I recommend using a mower style clutch set up with the trans though. A 700 trans seems to be easier to find, but the gear box is stronger if you ever move to super mod. most that run a centrifugal clutch uses the gear box. we have them that run both setups.

I used stock exhaust right off head. Went to 1 1/4" after about 6" or so, Then into 2 1/4" tail pipe which we flattened  for clearance. I will get you some pics later. Sounds awesome on mine & I am also running cheetah cam. There is really no right or wrong. different engine act different with same exhaust.

USLMRA Races / Re: superstock twin?
« on: October 01, 2014, 03:40:42 pm »
personally. i think there should be a stock twin class. and i agree. a BP is way to fast for the ride hegith, if you stick that money into a BP, your better off building a fxt. Id be happy to see a GP-T class

why do you think BPs are too fast for their chassis? If you don't want to go that fast, don't build one to run fast. Put your stock twin on & ride in the back. why cut out a class so you can build something that you don't have a class for?
