just wondering if someone could tell me if the head from a gx340 is the same head on a gx390? both engines are stock. the reason I am asking is I broke a exhaust stud on the 340. was just going to put the head from the 390 on it. thanks for helping bob

the rod bolts on arc rod are 5/16 12 point.  can you use different bolts with different heads?

lets say theres a 14 tooth sprocket on tranny and a 42 tooth sprocket on rear axle. now changing just the tranny sprocket to a 12 tooth would that raise or lower my rpms? another words more top end speed or more torque coming out of the corners?thanks for any help bob

hey guys when running a starter on a 390 do you use a plastic gear when using an arc flywheel? I know you do on the briggs. if so where do I get one, and how do you change it?  thanks bob

Is removing a governor from a gx 390 the same as a gx 160 or a gx 200? I plan on running stock for now until I can afford to upgrade. besides stiffer valve springs and a billet flywheel is there anything i'm missing to keep it stock? this is for pro x class. thanks for your help guys once again.i guess you don't learn if you don't ask. thanks bob

ok weird question, lets say i'm at a junk yard and they have lawn mower engines. how do I tell a model 28 b&s ohv intek from a model 31 b&s ohv intek? I understand looking where the dipstick is, and what the valve cover and the engine shroud say. however for some reason at this place there is no valve covers or engine shrouds, its just engine. any ideas would be great. thanks bob

does anyone know if a 17.5 hp B&S ohv has the same internals as a 17 hp B&S ohv. I don't have the cover for the 17. however I have the cover for the 17.5. I need parts for the 17. both are avs motors. thanks bob

i have 12.0x8.0-6 tires, i want to get rims i know they are 6" the part i don't know is how wide? the other is11x5.5-6, again 6" rim whats the width? i know this is really simple, i'm having a huge brain fart.  :oops: thank you for helping out bob
