I'm building two mtd class mowers. Cp/Bp .One chassi has engine hole in center of frame and the other offset to the left 2" off center. Can I center the motor in the middle of the chassi? I will not be moving forwards or backwards just centering. Thanks for clarification in advance.

I believe the rules state that you must use the original hole in frame. However it does'nt specify where at in the original hole. I have my engine offset slightly to the left for a little added weight to the LF tire.

I believe that is right Tony!!

You guys run national Uslmra races- stabil series races?

Yes we both do!!

Cool thanks . Just want to make sure everything is legal on these mowers.👍
( can you run an engine out the side, left, right , backwards or does the engine have to face the front?
-
I think having it in front facing is your best bet if you want to get your throttle linkage hooked up right

Thanks for the reply Todd. Had my vanny running out the left side on my old mower and worked great. Lots of weight on the front left tire, maybe too much. Is it legal ?

If the crankshaft passes through the original hole in the frame, you can position it for/aft or side to side and turn it any which way you choose. As long as it goes through the original hole.

Cool thanks Ed. Thanks for explaining the rules to me guys!!!
