Coffee Shop / Memorabilia Sale
« on: June 04, 2015, 10:54:48 am »
With a heavy heart, Ed has decided to sell his Bruce Jenner memorabilia collection.  The items include several Bruce Jenner Wheaties boxes, some if which are half eaten. Also includedis the box CD set of the TV show "I'm a Star. Get Me Ought of Here", starring Bruce Jenner. Last but not least is a Jim Carey style wig from the movie "Dumb and Dumber", which is the closest thing Ed could find replicating the famous Jenner "do".

He us NOT selling his Kim Kardashian bean-bag chair.

Coffee Shop / Locked Again??
« on: September 06, 2013, 08:34:39 pm »
Dang it, Ed called me today to advise of some psycho in the oppy section. Having read all the posts, I'm with Paul. Who are you, dude. Do you live in your parents basement and collect Star Trek memorabilia?

I've been at this since 1991. Been to lots of USLMRA finals, and I don't recall seeing any black #21 machines.

I just hate it when the wanna-be's come out of the basement, get on their parents' computer to post a bunch of tripe.

Don't care who you are, dude, most of the people I've raced with always sign with a name.

Coffee Shop / Mel Mieves
« on: March 25, 2013, 08:04:45 pm »
Long-time mower racing gad-about Mel Mieves passed away at his home in Phillips, Wisconsin this past Saturday from complications arising out of his long fight with diabetes.

Mel built many successful pulling, racing and ice-drag mowers over the years, and was always willing to offer advice to anyone asking. Perhaps Mel's biggest accomplishment was his input in the design and build of a 12hp flat head successfully raced by Troy Larson to a national SP championship.

R.I.P., our friend.

Coffee Shop / Ed's Been Banned
« on: January 24, 2013, 08:14:45 pm »
No, Ed hasn't been banned on this site. But I coulda sworn that his likeness showed up with all the "assault rifles" Senator Feinstein had on display in D.C. today.

I will give up my little Eddie only when someone pries my cold, dead fingers from his neck.

Coffee Shop / Coffee Shop??

OK, been on this site for years now, and I always go to the "coffee shop" first. I have yet to see any coffee. Haven't seen a waitress, either.

What gives?

Coffee Shop / To Cheer Al Up
« on: December 21, 2011, 07:55:02 pm »
I got a Chia Rooster from St. Nick. I carefully followed the directions, soaking the rooster thoroughly and then applied the chia "seeds" over the entire clay figurine. After diligent attention, sprouts appeared on the sides and butt of the rooster, but nothing was growing on top.

Are all roosters bald like this??

Coffee Shop / Sure, lock the pump gas thread
« on: December 02, 2011, 07:56:51 pm »
Fong, Ed and Redline gave me a heads up about this thread earlier today, but I don't have internet access at work. So just let me say...I once had a 1960 Ford Falcon that beat a VW once, and it was running whatever fuel Fong put in the tank. He had to be quick about the refills, though, because I had a badger living in the trunk..

And just for Chuck, let me say, "I am your father, Luke..."

Coffee Shop / Gas Prices
« on: February 23, 2011, 07:52:41 pm »
OK, the mid-east is on fire and as a result, crude oil supplies may be interupted. Our President has no known energy policy other than, "No, you can't drill here, there or anywhere". We are looking at potential gasoline shortages with prices of who knows how high this summer, and a resultant re-crash of our economy to boot.

Yup, it's a wonderful day.

PS. Anyone seen our AWOL socialist Wisconsin State Senators? We don't really want them back, but we want to make sure they found good homes.
