Title: New FXS Build Questions
Post by: westcoast racer on July 09, 2014, 05:31:24 pm
Frame Height:  What is the minimum?

Can anything be lower than the bottom of the frame?

If so, what?

What is the minimum height of those items.

Are 1"x2" box tube frames that have an EC type axle welded to the front and bearing plates welded on the rear, then covered with a stock mower frame legal?

Or does the front axle and the bearing plates need to be welded to the stock mower frame and then that frame can be strengthened with the box tubing?

Can frames be narrower than 15"?

Out of all the FXs on the west coast (~10), there is only 1 single (an old style FX) that I know of & he is no longer racing.  Who do you plan on racing with?

I want to build it legal for FXS since that is the engine I have.  FXT rules are not really any different other than engine, weight, and wheel base, right?

FXS is 39" @ 450 lbs. and FXT is 42" @ 500 lbs.  I may just make it FXT legal but run a single or Oppy
