Briggs Flathead / 8hp arc rod.

Where do most of you guys buy your arc rod from besides going to G-Team. I am asking cause a friend of mine wants me to get a couple for him and also whats the briggs part number for the required piston. THanks for the Help.

Has anyone on here had an arc rod fail yet. I talked to a friend last night and he brought over his 28 flat head with the counter weights and all that stuff and while at a race this last weekend all he could turn was 4,300 rpm and then the rod broke and destroyed the block has anyone else done this before.

What types of tachs have people used besides Digatron, Mychron, and The Autometer jr. dragster tach. I am asking this cause i am on a limited budget and just want to know what other tachs will work.

I am on here for a friend. Will the 28 flywheel and rod both arc fit into the 11hp 25ci. I am asking this for a friend as he is having problems with keeping his rod together and he just wants the flywheel so he dont have to worry about the stock on coming apart. any help will be appreciated.

Other Engines / Turbo and Nos

Has anyone on here tried to put a turbo on a mower so they can force more air into it. and i have seen little nos kits on ebay. has anyone tried to put on on there mower for racing. i think it would have alot more oomph than a motor with these performance parts. i ahve thought about this to see if they would make a difference on a racer thats pushin 5,000 R.P.M's.

I've heard throught the grape vine that there will be a 190 over piston. ive that is the case i am thinking you will have to do even more modifications to it like hotter plugs to burn more fuel. does anyone think it will make the twins become bigger and badder than the Briggs. i like the Tecumseh twins better.
