Chassis / Billet Caliper???
« on: December 19, 2010, 11:05:11 pm »
I am getting ready to order a new brake caliper. I currently have the std MCP caliper.  I am wanting the nice billet, black caliper though.  I was wondering if the mini lite caliper would have the same stopping power as the STD caliper? I am also going to be running a 10'' X3/16 rotor. I am wanting to stay with MCP brand.

Briggs Flathead / hot running 31 flat head
« on: July 31, 2008, 06:15:40 pm »
For the last couple races my SP have been running poorly. I have checked flywheel key, changed coil head gasket, fuel pump,  carb , and went back to 87 octane fuel.                                                               I was running EC carb and I would run 3 laps go to get on it out of the corner and it would die flat on its face like it was out of fuel, but the bowl was full. So I put another  carb with adjustable jet and it would do the same thing. When it dies I listen to the carb and I can hear the fuel sizzeling in the carb. Im thinking maybe Its vapor locking. Im running out of ideas. Its been around 90 degrees the past couple weeks. Any help thanks.                 Tyler Frazier 012 SP

Driveline / 700 gears
« on: January 08, 2008, 11:24:01 pm »
I am going to vocational school and taking percision machining and was wondering if i could take the fifth gear out of the the tranny and machine the teeth off. And then cut new teeth so teeth I could have a slower fourth gear. I would make the gears have 24 teeth and a 26 teeth so that the gears would be closer to gether so that i dont have to change sprockets as often. Sorry if i didnt explain this good enough. Just an Idea? I have made several practice gears and they turned out good so thats what gave me the thought.

This is the first time posting pics so I'm trying it out.
This is the story I am 15 years old and i am in my third racing season. For the Past two years I raced in a outlaw club. But this year i am racing in the uslmra. On may 6 I raced in Delaware Ohio on the national track for the finals, Wow if that isn't a fast track with tight corners. I place third place in the heat race. and was in 2 in the feature but i had belt problems. I finished the mower 10 minutes before we had to load the mower up sunday for the three Hour drive to Ohio.  I missed Thursday and Friday of School, Just to get the mower done For the race.                   Well here is the first picture of the mower before i started. I paid 15 dollars for the mower.
Then here is a picture of the mower all finished. I paid for this mower with my own money from mowing several yards.

Well thats my mower tell me what you think comments or concerns Thanks
