Coffee Shop / Re: Brake Rotor & Hub for 3/4" Transaxle

Bmi sells a reducer bushing that goes from 3/4 to 1 1/4.  Then just buy a 1 1/4 brake hub and disc.

Got a set of coils off an intek twin today. The plug wire on them was about an inch longer than the vanguard coils. They fit perfect.

I took some coils off a vanguard, and one of them would not work due to the plu wire being too short. Do the intek motors have longer plug wires? Or should I get a pair of ohv single Briggs coils?

Gotta save where you can these days!  Just make sure you have good, safe brakes.

As Jeff stated, I would make sure you have enough room for your disc and caliper between the wheel and mower before you get too excited.  bmi has this 8" rotor on clearance, but you have to buy the hub to go with it.

BMI karts or Ec sell a reducer bushing that goes from 3/4" to 1.25" so you can run that brake disc u have a link to.

Then you can run any good hydraulic brake setup that you want.

I get mine from Ron Atchison/A.C.E. Race Engines.  Send him a message.  Tell him I sent you.  He makes a really mean cam for the OHV indian.

Where abouts in ny are you?. We have a great club up north in st. Lawrence county.  Do yourself a favor and build to some kind of rule book. It will at least be safer to run. If you decide to race in a club later on, you will be good to go.

Tecumseh Engines / .020 piston kit ohv 17

Does anyone know or what are the chances of finding a .020 piston kit for the 17hp ohv?  I know they are dicontinued. I had a heck of a time just finding rings for a std. Piston.

Ron at ACE racing did my head and cam for me.  I did my own bottom end.  It is a awsome running engine.  I ran a HR bolted to the head also.  A little cheaper to build.  No fancy starter and no brass weights or balancing of the crank.  You will be happy with the indian for sure.  Way better than the 31 ohv briggs in my opinion.
