Coffee Shop / Re: Does my mower pass ARMA rules?
« on: March 05, 2012, 03:15:10 pm »
if its LOWER than 4" it is considered Super Mod Twin/Single

That's what I thought but was told I'd have to bring it up to 4" , I'd definetly be in the Super Modified Single, this group is new to ARMA rules and didn't ask me what class I would be running in, but I thought that would be obvious. I just needed to know incase I ran at another track that was ARMA sanctioned.

I DO NOT KNOW YOUR MACHINE. WHAT CLASS WAS IT BUILT FOR? WHAT CLASS WHERE YOU TRYING TO RUN IT IN? CAN YOU POST PICTURES OF YOUR MACHINE? I NEED ALOT MORE INFO THAN WHAT YOU HAVE POSTED.

My mower is built for Super Modified Single, only issue was the ground clearance, my front end is less than 4"

I was told at an ARMA race that my mower isn't legal, as it's less than 4" inch from frame to ground on the front, but after I read the rules it seems to state that rule exempts Super Modified classes. Is this true, I would run in Super Modified Single.

Thanks for bringing it too my attention. I updated my website, could you let me know if it's fixed?

some of those rigs look like stretch limos 8)

I tried to drive on of them at a fun day race we had, and I got a charlie horse in my calf. It was too long for my short legs to reach.

I thought it was full face shields and not goggles-am I wrong? :bash:

This is what is required by ARMA and what we go by at the tracks I race with, others maybe different, but as far as I know, this seems to be the requirement for most:
Every driver must wear an automobile racing or motorcycle-type full-face helmet- with chin guard
approved by the U. S. Department of Transportation or the Snell Foundation.
• b. The helmet must fit snugly and be securely buckled when driver is on the track.
• c. Goggles or a face shield are required. Glasses are not adequate protection.
