Is anybody interested in running a race December 26,27,28 in Jackson, Ms at the Kirk Fordice equine center at the Fairgounds? Working on the details but it will be apart of the Inaugural Santa Shootout kart race. Thoughts are to have an Open Single, Open Twin ( No Super Mods in either), Super Mod Singles and Super Mod Twins. Kinda limited on classes to run because it's with the karts. Working on sponsors to be able have prize money payout.  Gate fees will be $20 per day under age 6 free.
Possibly gonna run practice Friday, Morning practice, heats, and features on Saturday, and Sunday maybe just a demo race if there is anybody that wants to run, give folks who are traveling hours away a chance to get home before late hours.  More details to come in the coming weeks, if you interested comment or message me.

Thanks Justin

USLMRA Races / Mississippi
« on: June 03, 2012, 11:57:48 am »
Well let's see how to start this, most of y'all know me and know all about the issues I have been through in my personal life and racing life. I going to officially say I am getting out for racing mowers and I am going to step away for promoting a club and racing Mississippi. If there is anybody in Mississippi who wants to take over the club I will be glad to help you in any way need to get you up and going. I have many reason for stepping away but I will not say on here. If you want to know or care to hear about feel free to message or contact me. Now back to the club stuff if you want to stay with USLMRA that is fine, if you want to keep the club name Southern Dirts Devils that will be fine, and  again I will help anyway.  I have enjoyed meeting folks and racing with everyone and sharing stories, made some great friends. Thanks for your support and understanding. We may even show up from time to time and put the helment back on and turn some laps with y'all because I am not selling out.

I need some help on how thick the scatter sheild needs to be for my Intek and how it has to be built. I need to build one for the All American because I am not sure what class I will run since the motor is still semi stock and I don't have the money for a billet flywheel and starter.

I am not sure if we we have covered this but what is the best to try to get a sponsorship? Is there any secrets to wording or how to go about ask for support? I am just trying to get any idea on what to say and not say when asking for sponsorship so I can start sending requests before the end of season to maybe get lucky and get a sponsor to help run more races. If you not wanting to post all your secrets but are will give a few feel free to pm or email.

Ok guys and girls The MSLMRA/Southern Dirt Devils are having our first true race of 2011 on July 2 at JMS Kart Track. We run during the Big July 2 kart race everybody at the kart track wants to see a great race by mower since the karts don't alway put on a good race. We have options on classes we can run the singles, twins, and outlaws or we can run all the USLMRA/AMRA class and any kids classes let me know what everyone that wants come race wants to do. The last races we have had have been low mower counts we are looking to change that, we still up against a brick wall here because the people under here are not getting bug to race a lawn mower and I cant get many local racers that is way we don't run a lot of race because there few racers. I am get there times and entry fees worked out should be posted with in the week stay in touch with me and let know on class to run need to on that very soon so we get the trophies ordered.
Thanks

Non-Affiliated Races / JMS Kart Track in Byram Ms Mower Race 1/1/11
« on: December 01, 2010, 09:44:48 pm »
Jackson Motor Speedway Kart Track is having a race and New Year's Day Jan. 1, 2011(WEATHER PERMITTING IF IT BELOW 30 Degrees NO RACING will be watching the weather closely). Racing starts at 10 am and Pit Pass is $ 20. The JMS Kart Track is located in Byram, Ms. The track is a long, wide, freshly built, 1/5 mile oval. The straightaways are around 200 ft long and wide sweeping corners very fast track. We have turn a few mower laps last month and was pretty quick we practiced with the karts and they were down around low 16 second, touching on high 15's we should turn some good lap times and some good racing on a green fresh track. We will be running US/AMRA Rules and Outlaws. The classes will be Singles, Twin, and Outlaws these can be changed based on number of mowers.
IF I forgot something or any question or anything call me at 601-927-5506.

The track website is

The address is 5448 Old Byram Road, Byram, MS 39272

Chassis / I am wanting to build.....
« on: September 24, 2010, 03:17:41 pm »
I am wanting to build a outlaw/super mod out a old Gravely 450 4 wheel tractor. It's a 1970 model but it is rear engined but it a tractor style would that be legal? We are thinking of building a new front like on my cp mower, we are going to junk the old motor because the coil pack fried it's self after two years of racing locally and build a frame to hold the rear axle and a Honda clone 390 single built with a the go fast parts, for a rear axle a 1 1/4 with a big brake rotor and kicking the idea round of having 10 inch rims all the way around so we can run big front brakes on the inside of the rims. Just some of our idea now would thing be legal? Here is a picture before we tear it all apart to rebuild it.
Thanks Justin

Ok I am gonna go ahead and put this up here. I have had a few calls and emails about racing in Mississippi due to the 60 to 80 hour work weeks I have been a part of these has left my racing and planning and promoting mower racing in the area on the back burner. But I was able to get one race worked on for anyone to come race, I put as many classes together as I need from stock to Outlaw. It's a run what you brung show. It' gonna be done like the Brandon Race I did in Jan. (just not 20 degrees outside this time) where we be sharing with the go karts plus the County Fair will be in town the same day. The cost is $15 dollars to get in sorry if I told y'all $35 they changed the type but it will be $35 if you would like to use the transponder. $15 for the gate and $20 for the transponder rental fee. I will get address in the coming days and when I find out more I will let y'all know.

Thanks

Post your Pics! / Justin's C/P Build 2010
« on: March 13, 2010, 07:25:11 pm »
I build my first true US and AMRA build. It's a Craftsman 14.5 Briggs Ohv, running through a 700 to a live axle, it will have a 10" rear brake disk, and EC front brakes power by MCP cylinders. This just some of the work we have done but it is all coming together slowly and we are learning a lot and still have a lot to do! But tell me what y'all think and what I might need to do different or change on the chassis. We are planning on just working with chassis and learning the handling side of the chassis before we build a high horsepower motor for next year!!!!! Thanks Justin

Non-Affiliated Races / BRANDON INDOOR NATIONALS!!! MS, LA, AL Racers!!!!
« on: December 29, 2009, 11:11:03 pm »
Hey guys I know this is kinda short notice but I was wondering if there was anyone on here that might would want to help me fill some spots for an INTERMISSION show at the Brandon Indoor Thunder Nationals. I have just found out about this race for the intermission yesterday and I call all the local guys I have raced with in the past and I can only pool 2 mowers so for mine, and one other mower due to other things such as deer hunting and other racing events. I am waiting on a few call backs but nothing is panning out. So now I decided to open this up to anyone that would want to help me promote mower racing in Jackson Ms. Detals on the race are as follows: Basically run what you brung
and hope you brung enough, its a small little bull ring style track and gets hard and slick, $20 dollars for a pit pass is all it cost to run, Practice will be Friday Jan.8 at 7 pm and the race would be in between the go kart heats and feature races there will NO pay out this just for fun and show for the fans and to help promote in the area and could lead to bigger and better things. This is in Brandon Ms and the event website is http://www.brandonindoorthunder.com/. This is not a US race or AMRA race this is just a local race but it will help me in promoting mowers around here!! I have a rule set for my local Richland Day Event we run every year and I am using them plus the US and AMRA rules if the mower fits any of these rules it is legal. For more info or questions call me at 601-927-5506.

Thanks
