Michigan lawn mower racing association and Yankee Zephyr Racing Productions are sorry to announce that due to weather the mower races will be cancelled this year.  We have been getting rain and more is expected throughout the week, not allowing the track to get set up and dried out.

I will be updating the racer program for the Sparta MI race for HD in the next couple weeks.  Please send me any updated pics for your bio profile.

I would like to announce a non-affiliated club race on December 31.  The mowers are the feature show for the night.  The Delta Plex in Grand Rapids MI will host an event for mowers from anywhere.  Racing will be indoors on the pavement with coke syrup down.  Track is a flat oval, with plastic barriers, concrete walls and catch fencing.

There will be 3 classes depending on mower build.  Machines built similar to USLMRA BP, FX, FXS, and FXT will be considered the top class.  Middle class machines will be similar build to USLMRA CP, SP, and AP machines.  Slower class machines will be stock governed engines with open gear ratios, similar to USLMRA IMOW and GP machines.

All machines must meet safety requirements in the General secition of the USLMRA rules (brakes, tethered kill switches, throttle return springs, etc.)  All mowers must use lawn equipement type engines (no snowmobile or motorcycle engines).  Decks are optional, but machines must still look like they have been a mower and use steering wheels if they originally had steering wheels, must have handle bars if they orginally had handle bars, no suspensions (again we are racing mowers here).  We have the right to reject any machine we find to be unsafe or does not meet the requirements above.  We will do out best to clasify your machine where it belongs.

Feilds will be set by time trials.  Eliminations may be run if neccessary depending on turnout.

Entry fees: 1 driver, 1 mower $25, each additional machines $25 each.
Extra pit passes $20 each

Payouts
50 lap "fast class feature" $500 to win
35 lap "medium class feature" $250 to win
25 lap "stock governed class feature" $100 to win

The will also be a run what you brung fastest lap contest for any machine (mower, stock car, winged sprint) which you cn enter for  $25 and pays $500
