So, after MUCH procrastination, I finally have playlists up of the Labor Day races at River Bottom Raceway in Carlisle. I have Saturday night from 2015 and Saturday and Sunday from 2016.
I'm sure my (video recording) skills can use some improvement.
2015

and 2016

I was a little disappointed in the lower turnout for this year, but I won't hold it against anyone. Sounded like there were other things scheduled for the same weekend, so I guess some people had to decide one over the other. Fellow member boxcar went with me and he had a good time!
Definitely planning for next year again!

Do you have any video of the 2015 BP Saturday night races?

There you go Ed.

Thanks Paul!
For whatever reason, I couldnt find that video.
I wanted to see what it looked like from something other than Troy's helmet cam.
I sure am one good looking guy.. :D

That was a great night of racing. Good job, Ed.
Out of curiosity, how much RPM did you spin that thing? I remember when you and Tony Smith came flying by at the beginning of the race it was like thunder. Love it.
-
Never ran a tach, so I couldnt tell you an exact RPM, but, based off the results, it was enough!
We were "in between" where we really wanted to be with RPM, and if we had pulleys in 1/8" increments vs. 1/4", we would have been golden.
I was lifting way before I wanted to, as it was wrapped pretty tight.
-
I would put rpm at 7200 to 7500. The engine breaks up a little at that speed, not because of valve float, but it's running out of gas. Really.
As Ed said, we had a tweener on gearing, and went with the high side.

I still have the #2 that finished second, and it's still for sale. Cheap! Gotta move it.

Don't blame it on running out of fuel, Bert.
Blame it on the transaxle. They happen to be slow, remember?
-
We heard all kinds of weird comments that weekend. Tecumseh,? No one runs Tecumseh's around here. Transaxle? No one runs transaxles around here. Got to the point where Troy Werachowski said we may as well leave them on the trailer. We don't have a chance.
First and second at the afternoon ARMA race. First and second in Carlisle. Imagine if we had normal stuff. Of course having two somewhat good drivers didn't hurt anything, either.
