I see you live in Saco. Are you guys racing at the path finders track. If so that would explain it. Where dose he run the AP? I would like to know as there are only 2 tracks in this area that can support any kind of speed and one of them just opened this fall.

A full cord of wood -- depending on the wood -- is about a ton +/-.  Two cords of wood plus the trailer weight is more than the transmissions you originally asked about will dependably handle.  Of the three you have linked, the 353 would be the best one, but as Honey Badger noted, shifters for these, as well as the 600s, are very scarce.  From a been-there-done-that perspective, if you go with the Footes, you'll put one of these transmissions on your mower and, when it breaks, put another one on, and when that one breaks...
Have you considered an 820 transaxle, one with the granny-low (4.55:1) gear? If you need a locked axle, this can be done easily on the 820s.  And tandemizing your unit with an 820 transaxle isn't impossible.   What size drive tires are you using?  Do you have a picture of this unit as it is now?

no i dont have a picture need to stop puttin money in my tandem for a week and get it it needs to be a vertical input horizontal output sprocket cause right now im setp up with a ragb but no reverse sucks plus she stalls quite abit that why i need gears and it need to be the type like i showed cause im running 2 solid go kart axle chained together twin possi rules when your just messin around though sad thing bout the tandem is its a tad faster then my cousins sportsman class so its always fun spinnin dirt at him while takin off but i rather have that mauel feel idc if it goes slower 25 is to fast anyways for a work tractor id like 13mph also 18 tall 10 wide on 8 rims on all 4 rears front 12tall ? wide ? on 6 rim
