Oh jeeze what 10 years ago plus this place was hopping. I get Facebook became huge and we lost one of our main contributors but we gotta bring this back. Its been years since I sat on a lawnmower designed to go way faster than it was ever meant to go. Back in the day Rooster, Marc, and I would spend hours on skype talking about almost anything. We spent hours and hours playing some World Series of Poker that we were maybe 5% lucky with. We would spend hours trying to make the "boat anchor" opposed twin faster and more powerful. I always enjoyed the banter from George Herrin about that thing. I would like to think some life long friendships started here and it's sad to see it slowly dying down. There were times that 5-10 mower builds were going on at once with everyone sharing ideas of what has worked and what doesn't work. If everyone could push everyone back to the forum from Facebook I think we would see this grow to places that it once was.

I personally prefer a forum to all the noise on FB. And the information is so fleeting. I have some additional plans for the new year.

This forum is a wealth of knowledge! You just have to spend some time searching for your answers. It is definitely my primary resource for info. Looking forward to seeing what the plans are for next year! Thanks!!!

I agree with you Tommy. This place got REAL quite, sad. I would rather be here than Facebook also. I miss George and Bert.

I totally agree. This was the place to be back in the day. There is a lot on FB but its hard to find and really spread out.

I have an idea I want to add as well. I do miss a certain boat anchor club.

The poor oppy gets no respect! LOL

It's been years since I have been on a mower. Teasing Rooster about his boat anchors. :censored: off George was also a favorite past time. I miss the days of shooting my mouth off during the week just to get beat on the weekend. I do still hear from what's left of the "Deere herd". I dont Facebook so no sense getting on there. Me thinks the old days are just that "the old days" Merry Christmas everyone!

Its been a couple years since I’ve been on anything myself. I do miss it, life is just so busy. However I made a lot of great friends and other connections that are helping me succeed in business today. What I wouldn’t give to do it all over again now that I’m a few years older and know more about life.
I do miss George being around. I also really miss Bert. My Facebook isn’t the same without him just chiming in out of nowhere to busy my balls about whatever he felt necessary
Funny you should post Howie, I was actually thinking about you the other day and wondering what you had been up to. I also saw some clips of the Old Goat Jim Klauss in a video and wondered about him as well. The few times I saw him at the track I liked his company. Hope everyone is doing well.

Its does seem dead these days. Its been 2009 since my last post. I finally figured out my old password and username from an old email reset link sent in 2007. Wow has time flown by! I tried getting a reset email sent to me through the link by to no avail.
It is a little sombering to see that some of the old members have passed or moved on to other things. I remember all the activity that used to be on here. Being able to get a response in minutes or hrs. Dont think thats possible anymore.
I logged on here because im starting a new project on an electric truck and needed info on a peerless trans.
I do hope that this site can become a little more active! Im not a facebook person myself. I prefer a forum. Im sure there is racing and builds still going on today, guess not on here. Anyways,i will be poking around some for ideas and dreams.
Still a lot of usefull information. Im grateful to all the one that contributed over the years. Long live the mower builds!!

I also miss the good old days! The racing has slowed down and that's sad also!
