A #8 shade is for low-amp applications up to a #13 shade for high-amp applications. #3 to #8 for grinding or cutting. i personally wouldnt try it i have burnt my eyes plenty of time not useing the right shade.

i have ran that setup for a while back when i was first racing ran it in a ohv and flathead it held up pretty good for me ran them around 6000 rpm. got a buddy who still is running this setup.

heres a video from last nights race in the 18 to 23 hp twin class. im the one running no hood powered by a tecumseh twin mower didnt handle quite as well i wanted but had fun anyways.

i have raced the briggs single for 5 years only had 1 failure and it was my fault ran 3 seasons on a set of valves the head on the intake one broke off and that all that i had with them.

mower was moving pretty good just doesnt look like it in the video. they was alot of smaller class mowers out there that was holding me up alot. coule have used a litte more traction but had it tuned in for the race. the tach said 7200 on max recall. It suprised me how the cam did on sound and video to be a fairly cheap one got it at walmart for 90 bucks.

i have a chassis set up with a 600 flipped upside down. On the shifter part you take the clip out that holds the shifter housing to the shifter out and turn it 180 degrees and put your clip back in the shifter. It may still need a little bending but not as much as it would the other way.

it handled pretty well during practice, they wetted the track a litte to much before the race has a little handling issue but got 2nd place. forgot to turn cam on before the heat race.
