Tired of trying to get a round slide Mikuni to run right on a built 22 hp Kohler Command. Any suggestions for the best carb to run?

What kind of mikuni round slide. did you buy them new or they are used from a 2 stroke. because those will never work without major work ...

If they are made for 4 stroke they should work just fine once tuned . but dont expect snappy trottle response from those .

not a fan of those tillotson everyone seem to love for some reason...

on my stuff  i use keihin FCR . those are the best carb ever made for powersport .

Step 1.     Throw round slide Mikuni in the garbage.   They sucked on engines they were intended for.

Step 2.  Call Zach Kerber and order a flat slide Mikuni.  And send him your engine to tune it on his dyno....

Step 3 bolt back on chassis and smile and win

Step 4 thank me....

Cycloneracer is right. the TM (flat slide) series is superior in mid-range, which is where our stuff primarily lives. The adjustability is tremendous.

If you plan on using any Mikuni carburetor, I strongly suggest getting the Sudco book. I tell everyone this. You will find tuning guides and individual part numbers you won't find in most places.
