Briggs OHV & Vanguard / Re: HD Stamped Rocker Arms Part #? 38ci

Use the aluminum ones. All you need to do is drill and tap stud holes to 8mm and file down tabs.
I got a couple sets of new in box newer style steel rockers you can have for cheap. I’ve bought a couple sets of new heads and they come with them, I use the aluminum ones and have never broke one.

First purchase should be a billet flywheel, then do your mods

Are you running the 33 crank gear? Because the model 28/31 gear is required to run with arc billet crank. It will mess up big time running the 33 gear or not run. Keyed slot if way off.

Motor was all new except cam and the cam broke and messed up the block. Piston , rod ,crank etc all good . Must of got fatigued when motorblow last year. Found a 31 block today and getting it bored to fit the .020 piston as it's still brand new. Just some bad luck for first points race but we had a complete back up motor that saved him some points.

Our club up here in b.c . Fraser valley lawnmower racing club had 30+ racers 7 years ago when I started and now down to 3. Last year was our last :(. Lots of fairs want us and would pay us to come put on a show but no racers. Me and my buddy travel 8-16 hours (one way) to race now. ( where die hard racers and really love to race and the great people there) If there's wasn't tow money available we wouldn't be able to make the races.(covers about half the fuel) Lots of people race for 5-10 years and maybe lose interest? or family things in life take over?. The main reason I think it died here is because we couldn't get a local track to have regular races on.

Only a couple from our club that I know of. We race under uslmra and only race in the USA now. Our club is no longer around. ( not enough racers). There's a great build section on here and a bunch of post on chassis setup starting points.
