Tecumseh Engines / Re: Looking for Tecumseh V-Twin Rockers
« on: May 05, 2017, 02:47:48 pm »
I may have an unused set. They have the roller tips (the tips have lots of runout, thats how they came).  Not sure if you plan on leaving those solid tips or turning into rollers....  I did find a fix for them, involving a miniature sealed ball bearing and tiny bushings to accept the pin.  PM me.

Thanks, We decide to make a set just fix a project.

We know there is already a post about George but we wanted to make a statement from EC's.

It is with a heavy heart, we must share George Herrin died yesterday. This has been a shock to our family and the racing community.
We have no words to express our emotions and our loss. Out of respect for George's family our office will be closed next week. We will do our best to continue to process orders. Your thoughts and prayers for George's family are much appreciated. We have truly lost someone very special. We would like to leave George's final words of encouragement.

"Good morning everyone. Hope all is well. While heading out here is something to ponder,Life is too short to worry about what you have no control Over. What will be will be. deal with what your can control be happy and let the rest go!!!.Yall think about that and have a WONDERFUL DAY today!!!"

-George "Superman" Herrin.

Thank You George,

Coffee Shop / Rumor with Bumper Rules
« on: December 08, 2015, 05:56:24 pm »
We have heard a rumor that USLMRA and other organizations are outlawing the use of front bumpers.

We have a strong opinion on this issue. We fully understand and support not having a front bumper in most classes.

EXCEPT! The Supermod/FXS/FXT classes. These race machines are built to accelerate very hard and are very fast and are very heavy.
These classes need a front bumper from the perspective of safety. These machines lack the adaqute stopping power needed to keep from running over, under or through another competitor.

We understand and support the argument that front bumpers leads to bump racing but in the case of these classes front bumpers should be manditory. These machines are too fast and dangerous not to have front bumpers on every mower in these classes: Supermod Twin/Single and FXS/FXT. Race directors, flagmen and other officals doing their jobs should be able to run a proper race without taking away this safety precaution.

We say this with over 50 years in the racing business and years of experience organizing races and running a track

If you agree let your race promotor/director and the organizations know now before the rules change.

I DO LIKE YOUR EXAMPLE. DO YOU REALLY HAVE DRIFT BIKE PARTS? IS THAT LINK THE WAY YOU GUYS ARE THINKING OF SETTING UP? IF SO THAT WOULD MAKE IT EASY TO ADD TITLES AND CATEGORY'S.

We will have drift trike parts in the future. Right now we've sold our rear axle kits to a few guys building some and we have a couple of prototype in the shop.

Discount on large orders.500 and up orders. 5-10% would make a difference. A arc rod and piston application cart for most common engines. Rod piston combo,s for drop in .

We have made some discounts through using our website in our shipping for some smaller part we have first class mail which on average is about $4 and change and flat rate postal which is 7.00 flat and shipping over $300 is free with exclusions on some of the larger items such as seats and axles in which our margins can't compensate in other words its almost giving parts away.

Thanks everyone for your commments. Many of the issues we are working on now. If there is anything else we would greatly appreicate it. The better we make our website, catalog and other online services the sooner we can get back to answering calls full time and the better service we can provide. Currently we have many new products that will be introduced starting this winter and as time and money allows carrying us through the next couple of years of new products

Want to WIN $25 of STORE CREDIT AND A NEW EC T-SHIRT?We want racer input on our future website. Over the last few years we have done most of our web work in house and in the last couple of month we believe its best for us and our customers if we have the best kart racing/lawnmower racing site on the web. In order to do that were bringing in the professionals.

Our first question is our navigation: Our carburetors are what we are known for but would it be more helpful to have that in its own store or under each category where it is applicable or having it both ways?(look at our picture)

What other things would make our site better?
• Written Blog
• Videos
• Quantity Pricing
• How important is social media and which ones do you use? (Facebook, twitter, instagram, youtube, etc)
• Downloadable catalog vs printed catalog
• Email Newsletters
• Anything else? Please be as specific as possible if you've seen something from another site send us an example. It doesn't be a racing website if its a applicable concept.

For Each Valid message get one entry. Just add your email in a private message and your advice then Monday August 3rd we will post a video of the drawing and contact that person through email with their prize.

We made a video. We've had some questions about finding things on our website and about our shipping system. We get questions like these just about everyday so we made a video to answer most of those questions. This will hopefully become a regular thing for us so if there are any question that you need a video explaination for you can ask here on the forums, our facebook page or contact us through our website. We will try to make videos as quickly as our time allows.

Briggs OHV & Vanguard / Re: EC's camshaft
« on: July 06, 2015, 03:56:12 pm »
from carroll: i could not tell by the pictures you posted but i thought we got this straight on the telephone. But  i must have been wrong. the cam should line up like this. the cam on the left is the stock cam and the one on the right is the EC cam.

Its always a possibility the gear was install incorrectly after the cam was nitrited. I double checked all the ones on the shelf and they are per the picture. Hope this helps. Remember to use a good cam lube on the lobes and lifters when you reinstall the cam.

Briggs OHV & Vanguard / Re: ARC 6611 billet Flywheel timing advice.
« on: April 28, 2015, 09:25:41 am »
You would want to advance the timing. Be very, very careful doing this. Each mark on the hub is two degress so try going only 1 mark at a time or even half a mark. Also try richening your carb to see if that may help as well.
