you can bypass the key and sylinoid to see how the stater is by taking a set of jumper cables and hooking the ground on the battery to a spot on the frame where you can get good contact then hook the other to the hot on the battery and touch it to the bolt on the bottom of the starter where you hot wires are at (the ones from your sylinoid) if this works it could bee you key switch or sylinoid but sounds to me a little more like a bad connection some where check your wire connectors for corosion and stuff after you try the trick with the starter if you have some corosion on your connectors be it on your sylinoid  key switch chassis ground or wheever it may not be pulling enough juice to turn it really turn the starter hope this helps

is there any other way you could get the valves to open up more besides the cam i know that an engine is like an air pump the better and more smoothly it moves air along with fuel in and out the more power you can make out of it thanks

that sounds cool iv heard from a few guys that some one might build me a billet fly wheel like vogel what would it hurt to have the cam ground i know earlier in the topic you said you couldnt but what would it hurt or has anyone tried it

thank you for your post there bud but i didnt say a thing about not being safe every body knows you build something one step at a time i wanting ti know where i can get any parts for my mower chasssis parts anything i was planning on lowering it in the front and rear first to make it handle better then trying to find better brakes to make it stop then gear it right for the engine im building chunk it if you want but next time you smart off about how safe everyone should be ask them what there doing to be safe instead of making your assumption these sites are to help people ne way not critisize them if you aint gonna try and help dont reply

if its aluminum block accoding to gardentractorppullingtips.com it will have the tendency to give in the cylinder possibly harming the rings but anythings woth a dhot never know till you try if you decide to get id of it let me know ill try it have fun

hey im a new member and ive looked all over and really cant find much on it so im gonna ask you all has any one built a k181 cast  kohler i am building one and i was woundering what anyone who has built one has done thanks
