I think you will find most don't run a billet cam cause of its cost and the regrinds don't have a lot of blowing up problems. So most probably opt to save a few bucks and buy a G-team, isky, or precision. There are couple others also someone else can chime in on if they have used them.

generally Briggs and Stratton parts are looked up by model type and code all these numbers should be on your motor

We just started running one and it seems to pull pretty solid from corner to corner. but have just one race and a rookie driver on it. I put three laps on it and it went good in a 33 cube avs. But we have a g team cam in a 28 with no head work that pulls just as hard in same class. I believe a lot has to do with the weight of driver and how hard you turn it with the gearing also. lots of variables that can make or break how a cam feels to any one person. trying them all yourself and then decide with same engine, chassis and driver then you could tell.

If you are looking for a story get a hold of Flipper on here(Joey Nahas) he made or had made a rod couple 3 or 4 years ago now. For a motor I believe George put together. He spent 5 or 6 times what it would cost to buy one if it was available from arc. So you have to judge how much your time is worth and what bang for your buck you get. Price out a piece of billet stock it will shock you how much a one off chunk will set you back. Though Joey and George created a nice motor that is a strong runner its not unbeatable and still can be beat by machines that only have parts that are available off the shelf. I love to make a better mouse trap too but unless you are in the business of making a few hundred of these  to sell it will be a labor of love and a part you will be proud of when your done. Like someone above said people used to make them cause nobody else did, now a days we have parts available and cheap really for what they have to offer us. I have to believe that most stories ended badly in the long run and the reason a lot of people will not write any comment. :twocents:

the EC kit is the way to go. Do not skimp on this if you really want it to be reliable for a long time.

Lester you asked if ARMA was going to follow this?

ARMA already allows you to be 13 inches off the ground by letting you run 6" wheels on back. seat can be no lower then top of tires. this took care of a lot of tip over problems already. Plus you wont have to hack the crap out of your fenders to do it. Being this low already takes away a lot of the need for extra width. But I would say that I like the idea somewhat of couple inches wider. :twocents:

I had a page bookmarked on my old computer but can't seem to find it now. This is not a its legal or not question just looking for info and yes I understand the OHV is better. Thanks for any help

We chased that oppie all summer in ARMA and I will bet it will surprise some folks at the All American. The just showing up comment is very rude considering its easy to sit at your computer and put someone down that way. Get on track at National events and numbers will be up and your comment will mean more.

for the money you would spend on new piston and bore job you could find a decent 31cube or maybe 33 and have a bigger motor already.
