Drag Mowers / Re: Anyone in Illinois Interested?
« on: September 22, 2009, 11:50:48 pm »
My mower would not be suitable for drags in its current setup but..... they do have a mower drag race every summer at "the white house ? whyte house" in Fox Lake. There is a little mower shop and a bar there as well, usually a good turnout. You may want to contact them to get contact info for the poeple that race there. Good luck getting that together.  :)

Sure wish they would have one of those near CHICAGOLAND I will bet that they would get good attendance and good mower count.

Man those "trailers" are a wild ride, they dont seem all that fast but definitely seem to be built beefy all that air has got to be a killer on the drive train, trans etc!!! :woo: Do they soak the track to reduce speeds or was it just run after a huge rain storm I wonder??

Send me an email if you'd like to talk to me about hiring me at a race.  As an added bonus, if I'm hired for a race, I won't be racing in that race.

Now thats funny Dave , I would be more than happy to purchase one but ya gots to take it first!!!

Racing Mower Builds / Re: My 09 build for the river rats club
« on: February 26, 2009, 10:16:19 pm »
Looken goooood!! You have put a lot of thought into the engineering. From experience I find that the fastest (highest hp)mower doesnt necessarily win the most races, decent speed, good brakes, driver experience and reliability can overcome many a fast mower. Looking forward to racing with you again this summer. I really enjoyed racing with the rats last year..... :burnout:

Briggs Flathead / Re: E3 spark plugs
« on: January 16, 2009, 10:44:56 pm »
I have had the same results, no fouling, never had a problem. Have been using e3 in my 28 flattie for 3 yrs. I replace it at the beginning of the season and keep the old one as a spare, still have ne needed it. Dont notice any perf. difference but it will not foul easily and runs clean. 8)

Chassis / Re: set up sheets
« on: August 13, 2008, 10:18:27 pm »
What exactly are you reffering to , tire press, camber caster, toe ajustments ,carb ajustments that kinda thing??? Cause a lot of that is mower specific although there are some guidelines to start with in posts. From what Ive seen, everyones mower is gonna be completely different in its setup as they are all one off builds. :woo:
