What is the easiest, correct way to figure out what length my push rods need to be? I've never done this and don't want to ruin a good set of chromo push rods.

A large number of variables are involved in determining the correct length pushrod for your application. Pushrod length is affected by any of the following:
•Block deck height
•Head deck height
•Head stud boss height
•Rocker arm brand/design
•Cam base circle size
•Lifter design/brand/pushrod seat height
•Valve stem length
Assuming you are spending the money for durability, use these tools to find the correct length for appropriate geometry:

Easiest? Did you mill the head? Remove an equivalent length. In other words, if you milled .100" from the head/block, remove that length from the pushrod. More options other than Crane exist for cut-to-length push rods.
