Coffee Shop / briggs / tecumseh

This might be in the wrong spot, if it is I am sorry.

I am building a BP for someone that will be running a Tecumseh v twin however.

I don't have his engine and it will be a couple weeks before I can get one to use for moch.
I was hoping to get the clutch and belt routing done this week end and was wondering if a briggs single cyl has the same foot print and crank location as the indian twin?

Anybody know for sure???

Thanks in advance for the help.

I know what you mean about mixing your hobby with business, I too question many times wth I am doing working 50 +hour week at my normal job then work into the wee hours of the morning at St Croix Chassis.
I love mower racing and I love helping other racers but it does get to be a bit too much! I look forward to one day being just a mower racer again! :)

Glad to see your sticking with mower racing though!

Maybe run into you at nationals somewhere someday.

I am the president of the MNLMRA, give me a call some night after 5pm 651-235-0317 so we can talk.
If you plan on running with the USLMRA it is imperative that we have you build something that fits into our rule structure.

I see ATV tires in your picture which are not allowed in any of our classes, also stretching the wheel base is not allowed either.

Call me and we can talk more about all this.

Talk to you soon,

Is that 15" on the outside of the rail?

Some guys in our local club plan on building a few of these in our off season.
They all are starting with the Murray Wide Body LT frame rails.

The BIG question is how wide are others building the frame rails on the FXS and FXT frames???

Thanks in advance for any input anyone can give.

I have run the hex and the splined styles on my mowers with no problems on either style.

Like Paul does, I too run the shaft all the way through the weld on part and weld solid (no tack welds)...

I have run these on many of my race cars as well and have full confidence in the parts!

I think Paul raises a very good question. Why are mower racers the only ones having problems?

I had a blast this last week end as well as the other MNLMRA drivers that attended, we will be back with more racers next year!!!

Thanks to Curt H., Paul K., Marty M., Bruce K., Kerry E., Rich W. and all the staff that made this event great!

Also visited with old friends and made some new ones too.. It's people like you who make this sport great and the reason we are all mower racers!

Hat's off to you all for a great job on and off the track!!!

Hope to see you all again real soon.

I had a web site that I kept up to date for several years and although it was nice to tell people to go check out my web site I don't think it helped in obtaining any of my sponsors.

Crazy thing is if they sell as production model even limited run our rule books say it's a mower...
Yikes!
