I posted this in the Drag section and had 186 views, but no answers. Hoping someone could help here.
I have a Peerless 800 series transmission and will use it in a drag mower.
My question is what gear do the drag mowers start in, and do they shift more than once?

They do not shift lawn mower trans under power, they break! Pick a ratio that will make peak RPM at the finish line and go from there.
