Concur, something isn't freely moving inside.  With the head off make sure the valves are opening and closing - something might be bend.  Bottom line, it would be best to take the engine apart

You asked how to make your mower go faster.  Answer - remove the pulley under your engine and replace it with a larger one - say 20 percent larger.  Besides the increased speed, you will find that you can't steer this monster in a straight line.  You will find that those steering gear joints will separate.  You will find your brakes will not stop you before you hit the garage.

Look at the build sections and see how others have fixed these problems.  This sport is a lot of fun but there is no reason to get hurt.  We have already done the painful part.  We have made the mistakes.  However, you are most welcome to repeat our errors - just get videos

George and the ARMA.   I had some interaction with the ARMA when it was formed.   These are good people.

Sir,  YOU were banned ?????   Why would a national organization ban a god fearing man like yourself?  Too popular, too open, too giving or ??????

It really is a question that should be answered!

  Sir George,
Dropping back to your wire feed welder.  Your machine looks like a 110 volt.   Besides the splatter, any problems or hints to pass along?  I have something similar and I am just getting used to it

Chassis / Build Clinic
« on: November 17, 2005, 09:29:57 pm »
Sir George,

There are a few of us – maybe a lot of us - who have a great interest in a build clinic. You might get an overwhelming response if you gave more information. I could suggest that you start with how long the Clinic would last (6 days or 4 days)  You might suggest a cost to attend. It would be nice to know where it would be held – City and State.   Finally, what would you cover and how would you cover it. I thinking chassis set up (maybe put one together) and an engine build up.

Last but most important, good luck with your surgery.   I hope it is nothing more than having a few weeds trimmed
