« on: February 02, 2013, 03:29:16 pm »
I've been thinkin about getting some hegar front brakes. My current rear brake system runs on dot 3 fluid. What I was wondering can the hegar front brakes run on dot 3 fluid or do They have to be dot 5 ? Thanks guys!

I have got away with not changing the needle valve and seat for a fuel pump. My old 28 flathead engine I ran a stock carb with a fuel pump never done anything to the carb. It would spray fuel around the bowl gasket tho. May have been just luck that I did this tho lol

Briggs OHV & Vanguard / Re: Vanguard sump gasket blowing
« on: August 15, 2012, 01:01:55 am »
I just recently put my intek back together and already blew out my pan gasket...not bad but enough to make an oily mess. After tearin it back down tonight I learnt I used too much silicone this time and caused the gasket to squeeze out from btween the block and pan.

ok so i have a question that kinda involves footboards as well. ok so say i have to raise my fenders a little bit to clear the tires. the fenders are still mounted in the rear stock location. but at the bottoms where they attach to the footboards the fenders no longer reach for the bolt holes to line up. is it legal in US to put like a piece of 1x1 square tubing to take up the gap and run bolts thru the fenders tubing and footboards to attach them all together. ??

« on: February 27, 2012, 11:28:33 pm »
i'm just wonderin what everyones opinion on running a 350/400 peerless tranny is. the word ive gotten is there nearly bulletproof. strong trannys. i have no reason to disagree with that. theyre just new to me.  i'm just curious as to what ppl think is the pros an cons to them good n bad. whats some good tips to know about them and what works best with using them. what all do i need to know about one while runnin it. thanks.
